About
David
David is an artist and entrepreneur whose work explores the intersections of technology, culture, and social impact. His sculptural practice integrates embedded electronics, kinetics, and illumination - an outgrowth of his background as an electrical engineer - transforming material into engaging works that confront humanity’s existential challenges while inviting hope.
As a partner at Hotel El Ganzo, an arts hotel in Baja California, Mexico, David has shaped the property into an award-winning art destination and sustainability pioneer. El Ganzo’s acclaimed Artist-in-Residence program hosts hundreds of international artists creating immersive, site-responsive works that braid art, local community, and guest experience. David also serves as an advisor to the Burning Man Project, the nonprofit steward of the annual gathering in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert and its global arts and cultural initiatives.
David is committed to fostering human and planetary wellbeing through entrepreneurship and investment. As Managing Partner at Draft Ventures, he has invested in over 80 early-stage companies focused on health, sustainability, and innovation. Previously, he was COO at Side Inc. (valued at $2.5B) and Livefyre (acquired by Adobe), and on the investment team at Greycroft (a $2B AUM venture capital fund).
His entrepreneurial journey began as the founder of ArtExtend, a virtual gallery representing emerging artists from developing countries worldwide.
